How to get yourself headhunted by Secretarial recruitment agencies
The whole point of this is that you need to be out there to be found by secretarial recruiters.
The easiest way to do this is to join the main business and social networks. Most of them are free to join and allow you to put all your profile information on there.
The main ones are Linked in, Ecademy, Xing, and several others. These days secretarial recruiters are also using Twitter and Facebook.
Once you are on them you will need to actually network with people to build up a presence online. This is normally done over a period of time. There are normally enormous numbers of recruiters on these networks and they normally give contact details, so they are open networkers. On linked in it is possible to join groups that allow you to link with groups of other people at the touch of a button. These include Toplinked .com and mylink500.
Your Profile
You will need to write a quality profile. This needs to have enough information on it to describe you adequately with your secretarial jobs skills highlighted in full. Make sure it reads in CV style as much as possible, so a recruiter can plainly see what you have done. Try to use keywords to allow yourself to come up in searches. Make it an interesting and informative read. Keep too much personal information off it.
Obviously if there is the option to include some contact information put this on there. Use an e-mail address that you actually do read. You could miss out on new admin secretarial jobs if you don't actually read them. With most networks it will cost a recruiter money to contact you, so you shouldn't get spam, only contacts of actual secretarial admin jobs that they want to headhunt you for.
Some networks allow you to insert your current status, so you may choose to say that you are open to a new admin secretarial job, but obviously avoid doing this if you are currently in employment.
